I hope you will take a close look at what is happening at the Rafael Hernandez school in Roxbury. The Hernandez is a two-way bilingual school that, I believe, is doing an extraordinary job with their students. Some students start at the Hernandez with Spanish as their first language, other students start with English as their first languge. Once at the Rafael Hernandez school, all students learn in both English and Spanish.
Date 4/20/2009 WGBH at 7PM The program was referring to the project dropout site to vote. Not theren so I guess it is a repete. Comment on the program questions. 1. MCAS is not the answer as it puts too much on one instrument. 2. Englash only is as crazy as ESL for ever or bylingual forever. 3. the legal age should go to 18 but that will not get students to graduation unless there is something inplace to get students through.
